DROUGHT is a multi disciplinary art piece including spoken work, song, music and digital visuals. The piece has been put together by Kate Radford and is currently fundraising for a tour in the USA.
'DROUGHT is a song-story for women. It is a musical battle cry, it is for the women that have been, and the women to come. In the hope I can sing us to freedom.
In 2018 with the support of Square Chapel Centre for the Arts, Laurence Alliston-Greiner and Bryony Good I was able to start shaping what this might be. At the time I did't know exactly. I just knew that I had to say it. In April 2018, with a room full of supportive audience members, friends and colleagues DROUGHT took its first steps out into the world. And I have been following it ever since.’
